Narrative description of Project:

Ameria CJSC, in consortium with Modex LLC, implements the EU-funded Study on the Opportunity of an Inclusive Circular Economy for Armenia under the CirculUP! initiative led by Impact Hub Yerevan and the Environment and Health NGO. The project provides the first nationwide analytical foundation for Armenia’s transition from a linear to a sustainable, inclusive, and innovation-driven circular economy, designed to reduce waste, regenerate ecosystems, and promote resource efficiency across industries.

The study undertakes a detailed value-chain analysis of sectors such as textiles, plastics, metals, fisheries, and fruit and vegetable processing to identify entry points for circular practices that can simultaneously generate employment, attract investment, and enhance environmental resilience. It combines economic impact assessment, policy and institutional ecosystem review, and international benchmarking to ensure that recommendations reflect both Armenia’s local context and leading EU models.

Through stakeholder consultations and data-driven analysis, Ameria develops a comprehensive roadmap for integrating circular economy principles into Armenia’s industrial, agricultural, and social development policies. The project supports the country’s alignment with the EU Green Deal, the Eastern Partnership Green Agenda, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reinforcing Armenia’s positioning as a regional frontrunner in green growth and sustainable innovation.
